Word Nerd

As a collector of words and lover of lettering, I will be bringing you some uncommon, antiquated, or just fun words.

Today's word is...

de·lec·ta·tion /ˌdēlekˈtāSHən/
 n. 1. Delight. 2. Enjoyment; pleasure.
From the verb delectate meaning to please; charm; delight.
In a sentence: She took much delectation in sampling every wine.

I always hear delectable, but never delectation. It's such a delectating word, too!
